It felt choppy to me. They kept trying to keep up the pretense of enemies to lovers more the enemies part until the last 20% they move to lovers. It was almost as if we would think we were past the enemies part it would bring us right back to it for no reason. The plot felt flimsy and I really didn’t feel the connection on why these two were together. I’ll continue on in the series to see if maybe the next one is better.

A professor manipulating a vulnerable student into dating his brother is not a meet cute. It's sexual harassment at a minimum and I just don't know if I'll be ever able to read anything by this author again.

This would have been such a cute love story if not for the totally unnecessary plot line of the death of Willa’s mother. I hate it when someone dies in romance books.
It was such a slow burn amazingness and the author had to mess it up.
I’m reading the next book tomorrow to see if I like the author’s work without a bad trope.
