I thought the last third was pretty boring when it was all about the trial, it got repetitive. The ending itself, though, was good!

So many twists and turns in this book that kept me hooked from the first chapter right until the last chapter.
I have never read Anatomy Of A Scandal, so this was the first book that I have read by Sarah Vaughan, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I liked how the author kept you guessing right until the very end if Emma Webster had murdered the man she was accused of murdering or whether it had been a terrible accident. And while the ending didn’t necessarily come as a surprise, it was good to have all the loose ends tied up and the full, real story finally.
Emma Webster is an MP and has a good relationship with the press, and an especially good relationship with Mike Stokes - a reporter for the Chronicle. That is, until he unearths a story about her daughter, one that could ruin both her daughter’s and her life. She begs him not to run the story but he is adamant that he will be running it, and gives her a chance to tell the story from her view. But can she stop him from running the story to save her and her daughter’s reputations?
I really did enjoy this book, and it has made me want to read Anatomy Of A Scandal to see if it lives up to the hype. Thank you to Sarah Vaughan and the online book club The Pigeonhole for allowing me to read this wonderful book!

This is my third time picking up a Sarah Vaughan novel, and as a huge fan of Anatomy of a Scandal I was really excited this one had that same political theming that I so enjoyed in that book.

Emma is a female MP who is known for supporting the rights of women and is currently seeking to enact new laws that target people who send revenge porn. As we get to know Emma more we see that she does indeed have people who want to target her and when a journalist whom she had worked with is found dead in her home the story begins to unravel and people's reputations are at stake.

This book has the classic Sarah Vaughan charm that draws you in to the nasty world of British Politics and their relationships with the tabloids whilst also addressing many issues that teens, women and even women in power face on a regular basis. As I said, I enjoyed the political theming and premise of this book but did find it dragged on a bit in some places which took my rating down.

However Sarah Vaughan has become an auto buy author for me as I have loved elements of each of her previous books as well.

Sadly not my cup of tea. Nearly gave up a few times before page 100, once there I forced myself to finish.
Very slow paced and honestly just don't think I am the demographic the book is aimed at, found it very hard to like or sympathise with any of the characters. That coupled with the slow pace of the storyline made it a very laboured read.
