A wonderful accompaniment to reading the first few books of the Hebrew Bible. We picked it up when it was clear the text was too violent and graphic for us, and am so glad we did. Shared a lot of context, history, translation notes, and more on women in text, but also sets readers/listeners up to approach the text with creativity and imagination without minimizing it erasing the violence of the text.
