Nice to be in the Carpathians for this one, some master vampire wickedness with an injured Andrei, but nonetheless very good.

I realy was disappointing. I am not someone who easily skips pages, but it was simply boring. I missed the plot of the story. I got so annoyed of that woman and of this carpathian that i thought I would throw the book in the darkest far away corner of my room.

I got the german Edition and have to say that the translation was awful!!!!! I'm still crying when i think about that book. Can't recommend it.

Please Mrs. Feehan, I'm begging you, make the next Story better and don't change your writting style!!

I love reading these books. It's fun seeing how the Carpathians are coming back and helping each other heal and resist temptation. I expected the story to include the scenes with the monastery. but I just hope subsequent books include that.

My least favorite of the series. It moves much slower than the rest and could have been made into a short story.

Immediately claimed fated mates. Convincing her to let you boss her around by seducing her. Nature as music. Monastery of old despairing vampire hunters.

Attempted rape. Serial killers. Gore. Eating blood. Torture of young boy and his family.

Meh. I have been reading this series for years now and this particular story didn't capture me. I like Andre as a character, but Teagan confused me a bit. I expected a bigger fight from her I guess based on the fact that she kept saying she was a modern woman and independent etc. Yet she just sort of caved a bit too easily. I also felt the master vampire in the story was just thrown in at the end because " there needed to be one" per all the rest of the books. Usually there is some sort of backstory with him that ties to the story better. And I felt there could have been more with Teagan's not so good friend Armend and his cohorts. I just didn't think this story flowed very well.

Well, I was fully prepared to love this book ... but I just didn't love it. While parts of it were wonderful, I missed advancing the overall story line. 90% of this book was all about the relationship. Which was a nice change of pace though. It makes sense that Andre's story would just revolve around him though. He's not called "Ghost" because he's the life of the party.

As with most of the ancient Carpathians, they've been without emotions for centuries ... it's a bit hard on them to adapt to "modern" women. Andre is no exception. Teagan is a young, fiesty, fearful woman who finds herself in over her head and running for her life. She hates to cave into her fear, and powers through most situations.

I definitely think there's more to her than was revealed in this book. Her father bailing on her mother before she was born is interesting to me.

It looks like the series may be heading back Stateside ... I hope we get to meet Grandma Trixie.

Here's hoping the next book involves more of the characters I've come to love and revisit.

This, the 28th book in the Dark Saga series is everything we should expect from Christine Feehan. Normally once you've reached this far in a series it would help to have read at least a couple of the previous books in the series so as to be familiar with the characters and general story line. I don't feel this is the case here. Although it would be helpful, I feel that since the main characters spend almost 80% of the book in a cave, the average reader does not necessarily have to be familiar with the series. What the reader does not glean from Andre's actions and inner monologue in the first couple chapters, they get when he describes what his life is like and what it entails to Tegan. This being said, someone completely unfamiliar with the series should be able to follow along easily.

“The fire spread fast, out of control and she wanted it, wanted that burn to consume her. Mostly she wanted him. Wanted to be his.”

This one quote, although several chapters in to the book serves to summarize it very well. Having barely survived a physical attack and near rape Tegan has run blindly into the mountains. Unsure of exactly where she is, but following her inner music, in search of something specific, she instead stumbles upon a mysterious cave. The cave however is already inhabited. Luckily the inhabited is not of the four-legged and furry kind. The last thing she expected was to find a gorgeous, but dead, man.

The chemistry between Tegan and Andre was instantaneous. Even thinking he was dead, Tegan felt drawn to him. She felt an overwhelming sorrow at the mere thought that she may have been too late to save him.

Having already decided to walk in to the sunlight after destroying the master vampire he has been hunting, the last thing Andre expected to find when he awakens from his healing sleep is his lifemate trying to revive him. He had searched for her for centuries to no avail and here she was, somehow having walked into his cave, through some very strong protective wards. The biggest challenge for a centuries old Carpathian and a modern day woman is obvious. He's determined to order her around for her own good and tell her what to do and she is determined to not follow anyone else's orders and make her own decisions. However, seeing as how she had been stumbling through the mountains all night after being beaten and almost raped by someone she trusted and considered a friend, maybe her judge of character isn't exactly the best.

It was a sweet and enjoyable read. Fans of Feehan or the Carpathians will greatly enjoy this. Tegan is innocent and sweet and Andre is absolutely gorgeous and so sweet. Definitely a must read for Feehan fans.

I have become more and more disappointed with the main characters of her books. The characters are just so boring that it'was chore to finish this book. This will probably be the last of this series that I'll read.
