Providentially I listened to this audio book during the early arrival of my daughter Lucy! I know this story so very well, but the scenes of Lucy's reintroduction with Aslan, and the powerful calmness of Aslan's conquering were newly tremendous to me. The story came alive in me again just like the trees breathed and walked again in this wonderful story.
There are scenes in this book that I always run to when I am afraid, and with both Lucy and Susan, I am made strong by the lion's breath and his affirmations of courage. I am so grateful to Lewis for giving me images to dwell on while my heart wonders in times of fear.
