I have always loved these stories since I was very little. My heritage is Norwegian, the town I grew up in is heavily Norwegian, and I'm both proud and fascinated by that part of my own history. Plus old myths make for some of the best stories! This author and illustrator have done a beautiful job of telling the stories in a way that is true to their source, and keeping an emotional connection that feels perfectly modern. Great illustrations, well told story, I'm ready for the rest of the series!
