It's hard to put into words how amazing this book is. I couldn't put it down and read it in one go. The book just flows so well together and even when it's switching to flashbacks of their past lives it's seamless. You don't get lost and it helps so much that you get to read about what both of them are thinking.
Ewan is my favourite out of the both of them. He moved from England to Boston to start his genealogy business there. He felt he was drawn there but doesn't know why. He put on a show when he in work of the kind of man peopel expect to do this, but outside he is true to himself. He has never settled down as he felt like he was looking for a certain man for his future. But he doesn't understand why and it's amazing as the book progresses and you see what or whom he was actually waiting for. He is a true romantic at heart and imagines big gay love stories even in films he watches.
Trey is just living how he thinks he should live to make his dead father proud. He thinks he should marry a women and have a family to make him proud. He was a beach bum until he met Paige. When they return to Boston her true colours are really shown and she's not a nice person. In a way she controls everything to what she thinks his life should be and he just rolls with it. He hates it, but just puts his own feeling aside to live a life he thinks he should be living. Its strange that he was living more in his previous lives when he couldn't be open, to know when he can be.
It was amazing when they first met and Ewan starts having the dreams about their past lives together. It's only him that has the dreams and it makes sense when when you read about his last past life mentioned as he started it all with his last words in that life. They are fated to meet again and again. It is so sad at some places and I couldn't help crying. Expecially at the end and the end of his last past life mentioned too. They all ended so sad as times were so different back then and they couldn't be open about who their were. I love all the retelling of the past lives as it makes you really understanded so much has fated they are to be together. Their happy ending was so much deserved after everything they went through. I adored Pop's and he really added some amazing moments. They were meant to be together. They had an everlasting and enduring love. You could see it bleed from the pages. Just took them awhile to get there. I do love a good past lives story and this one is one of the best I've read. Done to perfection!
