Meli and Is

Beautiful and quick story of love and growth. Meli and Is meet at 9 and 11 and have been inseparable ever since but there relationship shifts as they both realize how much they really mean to each other.

dear Amelia is very good

I really enjoyed this book. I’m so glad there’s no act 3 break up. It’s just two black best friends falling in love and conquering challenges together.

for a short book this was so slow and at places hard to get through; used the past to tell us their relationship development instead of showing us their dynamics and why they should be together; overall fine but just forgettable

I love friends to lovers romance even if I have doubts about these type of relationships in real life.
This was sweet but I guess it was too sweet for me. I don’t know how to explain it properly, but I think I read this book at the wrong time.
I did like it, and I like the characters and I want to see more from Israel and Amelia some years down the road.
