Easiest 5 star rating of 2024 so far. We follow a sister and brother (Greta and Valdin) through ups and downs in their friendships, dating life and career. This book was so heartwarming and so fucking funny. I can't count the times I wrote "hahaha" next to a line. Also, can the Vladisavljevic's adopt me please?

I really wanted to like this one. For one, it was a recommendation, but it also just really sounded like a story I would enjoy.

However, one hour in, and nothing's happened; there's not even any hint yet of Valdin going to Argentina, for example. I'm sure there are people who live for the languid pace and writing, but it just doesn't work for me. Valdin and Greta also sound too much alike for me to feel like they're different people, which made it really hard to connect.

best book i’ve read in agessssss. i laughed i cried i felt the entire spectrum of human emotion. the characters were so strong! every single one of them! i wanted the book to go on forever and ever

Loved the vibes, LOVED the New Zealand setting, loved the characters, loved the family drama……I just really couldn’t follow along with what was happening towards the end lol. Need to read the reviews to make sure I got it right
