Really nicely written, easy to follow. Feel-good book but still with substance. Really enjoyed the juxtaposition of imagery in deep moments coupled with the description of banal things.
okay, so this was such a pleasant surprise! i decided to pick this one up on a total whim as an audiobook (my first one ever!), and i found myself so enthralled by the writing style, the quirky characters, and the plot that was simultaneously mundane but also comforting at the same time. i found myself smiling to myself and laughing and walking slower on my way back from pilates just so i could listen to a few more minutes!
the writing style is very much stream-of-consciousness, and i think if i had read this one physically, my reading experience would have been very different, but this writing style just worked so well as an audiobook. especially since there was a different narrator for greta and valdin, so i really found myself differentiating between each storyline and their different ways of thinking.
i loved the plot and the way all the characters were somehow weirdly connected to one another. each character felt so distinct and different, and i loved getting to slowly know each one, from greta's point and view and then from valdin's.
my complaints are few and far between. in terms of the plot, there was one particular plot line that i found a little more unbelievable than the others, and i didn't love how it played out, and even though the audiobook was so well done, sometimes i found myself getting a little confused between the different accents and which character exactly was talking.

Pretty plotless which I can often really get into but something was falling flat with this one. Enjoyed all the different characters but also found them annoying at times and like not in a way of like u love to hate them. This sounds like a bad review lol but I swear I still liked the book.
