I had so much fun reading this one. I think so far it was the best from all the apothecary diaries books. So much intrigue and things happening all at once. I fell in love with this!!

The book is good and keeps the quality of the rest of the series so far. I felt the kidnapping arc kinda dragged in some parts and took a little too long to build up than I'd have preferred but MaoMao's commentary continues to be amazing.
Lahan is introduced and I'm finding him to be really fun and I can't wait for him to meet MaoMao. I'm also interested in the proverbial Western Capital arc that starts right after this.
