A new author for me. A book I picked up as part of a challenge to read the 2014 Amazon editors picks.
Liked it.

I loved the first 2/3rd of the book. I didnt find the ending as satisfying, but legal stories aren't my thing.

Perfection. Even during the moments of domesticity, I tore through this book.

It was written well, although I could have cut about 200 pages. I just didn't like the story.

I listened to this as part of my 2018 reading challenge: random pick from a friend: it was Barbara’s random choice (#166 @ the time of it being sent to me)

Wow, this was a great read, it had me guessing what was going to happen, and I was totally enthralled. The characters are lifelike and beliveable, and I obviously didnt read the blurb, cos I was shocked when it got hot and heavy. Not that I mind, but I sort of felt it building but still caught me off guard. Sarah Waters is a master storyteller and I can't wait to read more of her work.

I would like to thank The Reading Room and the publisher for my free copy.

Took too long for the plot to get going but pretty fun once it did
