oh boy, let's chat about this series!

This is a review over all five books!

In all, I thought that this was a well written reverse harem, and I was here for it. It did start to get flat and repetitive for me after the 3rd book, but honestly... those boys kept me going. I always say that I am an escapist reviewer so if you can make me love the characters, I'll always review high. Does the series in general demand a 5 star, I don't really know. It just depends what you are into. I like the mafia/gang type of books with lovable men within the RH, but I also like the dark grit that are in the dark romance genre.

There are triggering parts of this book, so be aware if you are triggered with dark romance. I thought I'd read it all... and then this book happened and her "public" punishments were beyond my imagination. I mean... they weren't exactly terrible if you catch my drift though...

Definitely give this one a go if you like the kinds of books I described up top!

3 / 5 stars

This book was good, but it wasn’t great. I enjoy Sarah’s writing, and I love the universe they are writing in. But this book just didn’t hold my interest. My main issue was the fact that I didn’t connect with any of the characters. Yes, we learnt stuff about each of them, but I just didn’t feel that connection with any of them and that made it harder for me reading it. The fmc also didn’t stand up for herself, rather she gave into Quinn so easily, and the constant use of his nickname for her “little girl” made me cringe every time I read it which was way too often. I usually love Sarah’s writing so I will be continuing this series to see if it improves for me.

FMC was way too weak for my taste, and within three days of being kidnapped they were fucking. Way too nc for me, and I hate the 'betrayed by my body' trope and 'your words are telling me one thing but your body another'. DNF p129

godd God this had such a promise but the heroin is so stupid! she was trying to do something constantly but she kept ruining plans and putting herself in more danger. If someone threatens your life you can either go after him or you can hide, but not go all over town hoping noone will see you, and you're to be left alive when they do recognize you! you're a mafia princess, and you should not be that stupid, this whole series was ruined for me based on the bitches behaviour! put yourself in dangeour all you want but so not put others cause oyu think you can do something but dont know first thing about and not wanting to listen/educate yourself in how to do shit!
spicey scenes were fire but everything else in -stars
p.s i tried to finish the series cause im not the quitter but then again for this lvl of stupidity i will gladly be

A VERY solid 4 stars. Possibly 4.5?

I can’t help but love the type of spice that Sarah brings to a book. I’m looking forward to getting to know the characters a bit more, but I can already tell that Rory is going to steal my heart and my panties.

The insta-love/lust is usually a hit or miss for me, so I do wish there was a bit more build up, but I have no doubt it’s going to be worth it for me to continue.

This book felt way too short, ending on a cliff hanger. While I enjoyed it there are a lot of triggers, pseudo rape, kidnapping, attempted rape, coercion, abusive parents. This is not a light fluffy read.
