I'd say 3.5 stars. About half way through I started to get bored, then just restlessly annoyed...I finished it and am still debating if I want to read the next one...

I picked this book up when I learned from Twitter that Jessica Clare is also Jill Myles (love her Succubus books). It was well worth the read. The only problem I had with the book was it was a tad too predictable, in most cases. The ending was epic and great, though.
I enjoyed the dynamic between Miranda and Dane. I loved how the conflict was a tad more steamy than the usual conflict as well. The sensuality in this book is amazing, there are a lot of nice wooded outside sex scenes and they are all hot. That being said, being out in the woods and doing all that rolling around and only showering once...not too into that.
The ending was not predictable and it was so funny I was laughing out loud. I loved it. I hope Ms. Clare continued to write books in this genre.

So I've loved all the other books by Jessica Clare that I've read and I was totally unimpressed with this one.
There was far too much sex, there was no need for it... I ended up skimming through all the sex after the first scene...
I hated Miranda, she's just so, so bitter. And unnecessarily angry.

The premise sounded interesting and the beginning was okay. But then, The sex happened.
Not only was the protagonist's constant insecurities about her revenge a bit frustrating (I mean, you think he RUINED your life and you're just going to give in so easily?), but it felt like there was a 5-10 page sex scene every 2 pages. It was a sexathon. Don't get me wrong--I am not a prude and will never be, but there's only so many times that a person can readmy pussy clenched--or some variation of it before she goes nuts. This is the kind of book that even sexy time lovers like myself might find to be a bit too much in that category. Oh well, I guess it was appropriate for Valentine's Day
