Not one of Unger's better books, imo. I like her messy, complicated characters and how her stories exist in lots and lots of shades of gray, but I just could not understand so much of what Wren does in this one, and the pacing wasn't as brisk as I would have liked it to be.

I may be in the minority, but this book was a no.
Pros: the first 30ish % was fantastic. Super fast paced, and each chapter left me on just enough of a cliff hanger to keep going.
It's written in 2nd person, which was nice and added something a little different to the story.
...Unfortunately the pros end there.

Cons: everything else. I found this book to be super repetitive. She said things like "he raised his palms in the air" faaaar too many times. (Eleven times, to be exact) Also--I'm fairly convinced this author has it out for millennials considering how many times she used "millennial" as a personality trait rather than an actual age range. Can I also point out that not all women on dating apps are desperate, and not all men are on there to hook up. It may have been the narrator being self deprecating, but I was over it after the first couple of mentions.
Without giving away spoilers, the twist--
