“Being nice is a good thing. You can be strong and nice. You don’t have to be one or the other.”

I didn’t particularly love or hate this. It was kinda d of just there. It felt a little bland and I didn’t really care much about the characters and them ending up together. There were funny and cute moments.

Wanted to read the book before watching the show and finally got to it.

I expected a cutesy rom com and it was a bit more boring and nitty gritty for the first half and double the adventure for the second! Both main characters were so much more flawed than expected and real, which was nice. And I've been going through a shift workers theme romance in my books as currently I do shift work so I got that little thrill from this.

It was still a quick read though even with the unexpected darker themes, if anyone avoids themes search for warnings before hand.

Despite covering some very heavy topics (wrongful imprisonment, emotional abuse and gaslighting, hospice care), this was such a soft and heartwarming story. My heart is so full after reading this. I loved the modern take on an epistolary romance without relying on texts or email. I thought they met at exactly the right moment without dragging it out too much or killing the tension too soon.

Leon and Tiffy were amazing and I absolutely loved them. They felt real and flawed and were adorable together. Leon is now one of my favourite heroes ever.
