This book can be read as a standalone. There is a very short crossover scene with Dante Russo from King of Wrath. Christian Harper is the CEO of a security company. He has been interested in his neighbor, Stella Alonso, since he met her. Stella has a blog and works as an influencer. She dreams of starting her own fashion line. Christian agrees to fake date her so that she can get to 1 million followers. Stella's stalker returns and Christian convinces Stella to move in with him until they find the stalker. The premise of the book was fine, but it started to get a bit too soap operaish for me. This would be a fun, mindless romance beach read though.

This book counts as my "Art Gallery" square of the Ripped Bodice 2024 Summer Bingo.

A slow burn book for sure but it pays off in the end. You see Christian's backstory and how that affects him in how he handles a relationship. I loved Stella's development in being more comfortable in standing up for herself and finding her voice. I loved how Christian was there supporting her. This book proves again just how well Ana is at writing deep and emotional characters. You don't get a spicy scene until halfway through the book. It is based on emotional connection rather than physical.  I really enjoyed the guy's interaction with each other. Probably one of my favorite scenes of the entire book. The ending was nice and written beautifully. A good way to end this series.

Firrst off I am biased because I don't love Ana Huang's writing, but they always seem to hook me just like Twisted Lies. This book is chessy and unrealistic. There were many parts of the plot that didn't add up to me and those unrealistoc parts dampned the book for me.

Out of the whole series I would say this book is 3rd and the 1st book is last. To be fair even in the book Ana Huang states that it is cheesy so I don't really fault her. I just didn't particularly get entranced by this book because of that, but her writing intruged me enough to rread thhe whole series so.
