Enjoyed it, nothing special though and not a favourite from the series. I liked seeing the other couples from the other books, that's always nice in these kinds of romance series.

I think that this was a good end to the series! While it wasn't my favorite in this series (*cough**cough* Twisted Games) I loved seeing these two characters grow. Cannot wait to read the Kings of Sin series soon!

I first read Ana Huang's Kings of Sin series first where Christian is a reocurring character, so I'm glad I finally reached his story.  Stella Alfonso is an Instagram influencer, model, and aspiring fashion designer. When she needs to up her follower count to secure a luxury brand partnership, she decides she needs a fake boyfriend. Enter her neighbor/landlord and cybersecurity expert Christan Harper. He agrees to be her fake boyfriend in exchange for her coming to events with him. But his company has a mole selling information to his competitors just as Stella has a stalker reemerge after years away. As they rely on each other for support, their feelings grow less fake and put the entire ploy in jeopardy.

This was my favourite instalment in the series. I care more about Stella and Christian’s stories.

One small issues I had was in Hawaii when Christian finally touches Stella; there’s only one sentence when he snaps. I feel like there should’ve been more push and pull, considering he had pushed it off so many times before this event.

The “post break up confrontation” in ch41 almost had me in tears. “I’m asking you to leave me alone” hits like Rachel telling Ross “You’re a completely different person to me now.” 💔

The epilogue was super cheesy, but I guess it had to happen, wrapping up everybody’s stories, giving them all their nuclear lives.

While well written and the audiobook narrators are great (as they have been with the entire Twisted series), this has to be my least favorite in the whole series. Love Ana's writing, but this plot just wasn't it for me. Christian is broody all the time like it's his main trait...

... and Stella gets really cool about a lot of things quickly toward the end. I wish we had seen more of the family dynamic, it seems as though the family aspect was thrown in just to give Stella something to complain about.
