I thought this one was even better than the first two ones. It had all the same elements, but I liked how he at first went to the Wimbledon thing. I was so happy for him when he got friends with Sabina, she seemed like an amazing person. And I just loved how Alex felt at home with her.
When he got sent to America I hoped he would also find some nice people. But it was typical how the Americans didn't get Alex dry sense of humor. I thought it was a bit mean from the agents to hate him at first sight, even when Alex had essentially done nothing wrong yet.
A catch in the story that was not well enough explained was the cave with stalagtites and stalagmites. How could both of them have died. They would have been smart enough to send one person ahead and together at the same time. And was it even possible for those stalagtites and -mites to grow there. I don't know but it seemed to me that the agents were a bit too stupid at that point.
The ending surprised me, I thought Alex would manage to escape in edinburgh but alas! The bond the general felt toward Alex was just plain creepy, although it did hold him alive. I will read the next book soon and hope to see a little more of Sabina.

AWESOME BOOK TO THE MAX! Alex Rider is one cool cat. However I find it interesting how Mr. Blunt never actually lets him shoot anybody.
