I'm really enjoying these books! It may be a bit too violent for young kids, but I think it would be great for middle school kids, especially if they like spy thrillers. Obviously, some of the things that a 14-year-old would be capable of doing is a bit of a stretch but isn't that what makes these books fun? It doesn't put the higher-ups in the CIA or MI-6 in a very good light, but it's all part of the fun.

The plot is thickening! This series is so addictive, and I'm so happy to finally attempt to catch up with it. Yes, the plot is completely unrealistic, and that affects my scoring. But I don't like how the "bad guys" are represented and described as having impairments and deformities.

In this shocking third installment of the Alex Rider series by Anthony Horowitz, Alex is once again dragged back into being a spy by MI6, though this time he is being loaned out to the CIA. This mission is suppose to be easy, he gets two weeks in the sun-- lying low-- while the two Agents do their job.

If only his life where so simple.

I loved Skeleton Key, this is my second reading, and it had me hooked from the very first page, again. Alex once again saves the world and this one was even more heart stopping, adrenaline rushing, action than the last, but this book was also more emotional to me.

I have to say part of it was that I do kind of sympathize with the 'bad guy'. What he wanted was bad yes, but I could see how it might seem right (in a weird, twisted way) to him, so I have to say that did up the emotional part of it for me. And of course the events in between with him and Alex.

In the end though he was the bad guy and Alex does save the world, but Alex is changing now, part of growing up and part of his job with the MI6 is starting to make its self known. I do think the differences will be seen in the next few books, and I look forward to re-reading them as well.

I do highly recommend. It is a very mesmerizing book like you have to keep reading no matter what because you HAVE to know what happen next, so it is definitely a book that I think is going to keep a reader's attention.

Enjoyable as always, though I think Point Blanc is still my favourite so far. I also think Alex was maybe a little bit too calm when for most of the book he thought he had blown up the Mayfair Lady boat and its passengers. Even though they were best of people, you would've thought it would give him pause a couple of times.

3.5/5 stars. This one felt both quite short and long at the same time.

Still a good book just didn't like this as much as the other two before it.
