i think this book accomplished exactly what i wanted. ever since xoxo kitty ive been feeling a void in my life and this book made me dream out how i wanted season 2 to end. nice cozy cute vibes of an impossible situation of meeting a kpop star and falling completely in love…loved it, but wasn't causing me to pull my hair out like other books.
3/5
idk but this is a romance book but i didnt get any sparks and butterflies?? i can't enjoy the book because the plot is flat, cliché, jaewoo isn't that loveable (bruh this is a romance book right?? we need loveable chara-3-), the conflict isnt that strong to be called as a climax. and jenny, she's just loveable by the characters in the book but not irl i guess..
also, idk but imo this book is sugarcoating the k-pop idols or even korean highschooler bcs i did read and watch sum fact from articles and videos of youtube that being kpop idols. or even korean highschooler isnt that 'oh my god their life is super ez pz' or else. i know that this is a fictional but, still, i can't enjoy bcs they are all exaggerated. if you want to know more about kpop idols real life way more realistic than this, try watch a kdrama 'imitation'. this book and that kdrama has the same main issue, 'kpop idols's secret dates' but i saw it more realistic and make sense than this book.
actually i still have more things about this book but i think this is already enough. so sorry if this offending.

This is a YA, Kpop romance and it really has some 'exchange student vibes' in my opinion. I really enjoyed this story. I am a sucker for a meet cute with a celebrity where the other person has NO idea who they are. This was very fun and makes me curious what other KPop romances are out there! If we are totally honest, I'm not rooting for them to be together forever or anything, but I really enjoyed their story and watching them identify what they want in life, connect with each other and form friendships.
**I listened to the audio and it was delightful!

I read the first 5 chapters of the book, and I decided to put this book on DNF list.
15 years old might like this book. But now this book is just average book. From the characters, to the plot—it's something you often saw in other YA novels, and the story is predictable.

It was cute! Very YA. Had those sweet, wholesome k-drama romance vibes.
