This book kept me company during a week of fever and headaches, and it was amazing at it. At times I had to go back and reread to fully understand stuff but I truly enjoyed it and slowly fell in love with the characters.
That ending destroyed me. I loved it. I don't know if I'll read the next one, I like the pain of this.

I think I objectively liked this, but the process of reading wasn't awfully fun because I kept getting lost and had to re-read big sections, I had no idea who everyone was because all of their names were long and similar and I didn't really get the ending because I didn't understand what was happening. I think I will eventually read book 2 and 3, but not for a while.

it’s just too close to homestuck for me to flow with the story. i know the relation is purposeful but it’s quite distracting when i read hs at its height, and i feel myself comparing it to other prominent creators like tony fox, maya kern, tom bloom, etc. who either were in the webcomic’s creative team or were highly influenced by it, and their own work ended up feeling much less of an offshoot than this book manages to.
