I didn't enjoy this book quite as much as Runemark.  I found it very confusing the first time that I read it; this is my second read-through and it made a bit more sense this time.  Maddy and Maggie's names are too similar, I had to go back and re-read sections on occasion because I had misread the names.
I was also disappointed that Odin took over Perth, I thought Perth was a fun character and would have liked to see him survive.

this book was a 'meh' with moments of 'huh cool'

pros:
- it's pretty imaginative.
The bit with the sun shield conquering Loki's circus was especially good.

- I liked the Loki bits most, where he's doing his thing and being amusing.
- i liked the idea of Asgard being built out of Dream, and the descriptions of the horses were neat.
- it was kind of gripping towards the middle to end.
- I did like Maggie's character, actually, even though she's kinda dumb. She's an underdog and I wanted her to win. The part of Maddy i did like was when she tried to save/connect with her sister.
- oh Perth was neat, too.

cons:
- I still didn't like Maddy's character, she's just kind of dull and gets things right all the time.
- it was a bit *too* plotty.
I still didn't really understand the whole 'the Seeress organised it all' bit. it felt like it was trying to be too clever. Everyone was deliberately confusing, too, and it felt too artificial.
- there was a general feeling of inevitability throughout the whole thing, plus predictability. The characters were all striving for things: loki to get free, Maddy to save her sister, Maggie to save Adam and stop the war, and none of them achieved that. The only victory was Asgard. They all survived but that was it.
- I hated that Maggie ended up doomed. It leads into another book I guess but I hated that she never had a chance and now is cursed with an evil baby.
- I also thought it was dumb how Maggie fell into doing the wedding. She was smart in other things and yet never checked Adam for lies even once every time he said he loved her? And she never found out what a disgusting, selfish lout he was?? that was rubbish.
- With Loki, he really gets the raw end of things for a lot of the book though and though that's kind of his "thing", it goes from 'oh dear, poor Lokes' to 'well that's victimising and cruel', The fact that he never got the choice to stay with Sigyn or not and that it was shown as him eventually giving in? Really? There was never one bit of chemistry between them, it was just Sigyn being possessive. He literally couldn't leave (and at one point is threatened with torture by her) and then it got painted as romantic. no thanks.

idk. it was okay, but there was a lot I didn't like and i didn't feel driven to read it or anything.
