⚠️ CW: medical trauma and grief ⚠️ This series is so wholesome, inclusive and magical that once I started reading it I just couldn't stop! This series follows Greta, a blacksmith's apprentice, and her friends as she becomes entwined in the enchanting world of tea dragons after she discovers one lost at the market one day. And from this chance encounter Greta learns about the dying art of tea dragon husbandry from the tea shop owners, Hesekiel and Erik, as she befriends them and their shy ward, Minette. As time goes on she sees how this age old craft enriches their lives, and eventually her own. This series is so beautifully written and takes you on a magical journey filled with so many amazing mythical creatures. As well as having heartwarming underlying messages throughout about finding yourself, your purpose and love, it also has incredible LGBTQ+ and disability rep with Erik being a wheelchair user following a past traumatic battlefield injury from his and Hesekiel's days as bounty hunters, and deaf and sign language rep with one of the characters in the second book. Overall, I absolutely loved this series and found that they were the perfect YA graphic novel reads that I was looking for right now and I cannot recommend them enough!

I have loved every one of the books in this series. Not only is the art gorgeous, but the stories are so beautiful as well. The representation is fantastic and so well done. These books offer all of the warm, cozy vibes with a dash of emotion; absolutely perfect. And now, I need to find a tea dragon of my own.

This book counts for Popsugar 2022 for a book with a character on the ace spectrum, Orilium: Lightfall at Old Favor Pass for a trip to Wallice's Wonderful Winter Wanimals (read a fantasy book), and it's a finished series for 2022!

Glad to say that this is my most favorite book series. This book was great, slower than the rest, but good. It taught me great lessons about grief, accepting that you're having a new life and that you need to move on instead of living as if you were that person but you're not, and on embracing your passions and loved ones. Also, really love the lessons on hard work and education. I liked that it touched on how one can have room to grow and yet be skilled and that's good. I feel like we don't hear that enough. Or especially how a mentor can have that experience. It's inspiring. This book is inspiring. Really liked the subtle romance too.

CW: the story deals partly with grief after the death of a loved one

I can't believe this is the conclusion to the Tea Dragons. Once again, Kay O'Neill has crafted a book with so much heart, love, and absolute beauty, I just don't want it to end. This one made me cry multiple times & I still can't get over how stunning their artwork is in everything they release. An absolute wonderful addition, read this series.

This series is like a good cup of tea - a hug in a cup with a sense of sweetness as well as the bittersweet and best shared with a loved one. The imagery is beautiful and the characters are well thought out throughout the series.
