I have always loved how Eli writes about life and am constantly inspired by her writing. Although I’m aware it was an integral part of the book, the personal anecdotes on relationships were difficult to get through. I wish there were more chapters about other parts of life not involving relationships. Even though it’s a three star book for me overall, the last chapter on honoring your life will always, always be worth five stars in my book. I think any girl could find inspiration within these pages and it was definitely a worthwhile read for me, despite the critiques.

gave it back to the library before I finished because i didn’t want to continue a non-fiction, BUT this is an excellent read & I could see myself returning when I need it :)

I read this book because I love following Eli on TikTok - I really wanted to like the book. The main factor that kept me from devouring it in a few days like I expected to is that it simply doesn't apply to me and my life as someone in a long term relationship, about to get married. I was hoping for more stories of Eli's life but while they're sprinkled throughout the book, they feel disorganized and hard to follow. The writing is not nearly as good as I expected from someone who is well-spoken in short-form video content. The book was fine, but I'm glad I read it on my kindle rather than buying a physical copy for my bookshelf.
