I love this world that Brandon Mull has created. The creatures and people are so diverse and so interesting. I love that Rachel is becoming a key player and Galloran has to be one of the coolest Kings ever! Great character development and impressive action scenes.
I honestly couldn't even tell you why I like this one so much more than the first one! But I really do. Not quite as much as I remember liking it originally, but still. I really enjoyed rereading this and I can't wait to finish up the trilogy! I can't remember anything about how this ends, which is actually very exciting.

I very much enjoyed this book. I only wish in the bonus interviews with the oracle that it had included Ferrin's. I was interested to learn more about his. Although Nedwin's was intriguing.
This book is fast-paced and so full of character and new elements. I fell in love with the characters all over again.
I can't wait for the next installment. Never stop writing Brandon Mull!

I'm still enjoying this series, and have already recommended it to several people.
This 2nd book in the series really helped to develop some of the secondary characters, but I feel like the author pulled back a little bit on the darker aspects of the storyline compared to the 1st book. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what happens in book 3.

Brandon Mull has done it again! Just when I thought things couldn't get better after reading the first book, Mr. Mull did a finer job with this one. It was really exciting and really hard to put down. While I was reading it, I was torn between the decision of finishing the book and to literally force myself to put it down, for the fear of having it to end. But of course, my curiosity got a better hold of me so I ended up finishing it. IT WAS WORTH IT. I did not regret anything aside from feeling a bit disappointed to have to wait a year for the final book.
The only question I have for the book is this, If Jason is supposedly the main character, then why is that Rachel seems stronger (in terms of ability) than him? Oh Dear Gracious, I wonder how the third book will be like. I CANT WAIT!!

This book was hard to put down while I read it and hard to pick up once it was down.
I made it through, however, and found that it definitely was not what I expected. Not that I tried to envision much for the rest of the series, since I just picked up the next book, but that's not the point.

Jason nekat balik ke Lyrian setelah berhasil selamat kembali ke dunianya yang aman. Tapi Jason tidak bahagia. Masih banyak urusan yang tidak tuntas di Lyrian. Meskipun kembali ke Lyrian berarti ada kemungkinan untuk terbunuh, Jason tetap kembali, lewat kuda nil yang sama. Bedanya, kali ini Jason membuat dirinya sendiri ditelan.
Nah, seharusnya petualangan Jason kali ini menarik, tapi somehow bagi saya terasa membosankan. Seakan-akan ketegangan dibuku pertama sengaja dipanjang-panjangkan.
Meskipun begitu, di buku inilah saya mulai amat sangat mengagumi Jason. Kalau saya yang jadi dia sih saya mungkin tidak akan berani lagi ke Lyrian. Berada di bawah bayang-bayang Maldor, di mana situasinya sangat tidak memungkinkan untuk menang.
Tapi Jason kembali, dan menurut saya itu keren sekali. Walaupun di sini Jason sepertinya tidak terlalu berguna dibandingkan Rachel yang ternyata mempunyai bakat untuk menjadi penyihir.
Tapi Jason lucu. Tipe hero yang punya selera humor. Bahkan saat bertemu pengintai pun dia masih sempat-sempatnya melucu XD

An excellent book 2 of the Beyonders series. I really enjoy Brandon Mull and I think that this series is my favorite of all his books.
