Felt a little rushed at times, especially toward the end, but since it was such a long book I wasn't *too* disappointed about that. I loved the huge variety of different dangers, but I'm a little worried about how the series is going to wrap up in just one more book when it seems like the majority of the action is still to come.

I’m obsessed with the way Jason and Rachel are almost useless but at the same time essential to the plot. I don’t mean that in a bad way I mean that in a that this is the best possible way to empower the kids that are reading this book to work and sacrifice for important goals.

Over and over again Jason and Rachel doubt their roles and have to be saved by others but that doesn’t make them pathetic or worthless!! Without them nothing of this would be possible. Gallorant is proud of every one of their achievements no matter how small because it MATTERS and it MAKES A DIFFERENCE. I’m getting all emotional thinking about it

Good book. I recommend it

Liked it a bit less than the first. It's just not compelling, it felt like a story I've read endless variations on in fantasy fiction before, for the most part. What kept me hooked though is wondering what Rachel's choices are going to be, but most especially Ferrin's. I think he's going to surprise us and at the same time not surprise us at the same time, in the next book. How he fights his tendencies to betray and manipulate, and if he fails, and if he continues to try or continues down a bad path, etc. THAT's why I want to read the next book, although I don't have alot of hope that it will be even somewhat compelling.

I hate to be this harsh about a Brandon Mull book; I love his other books, outside this series!

This book started out slow and kept going like that for several chapters. However, it was worth holding on, because as the story continued the plot picked up more and more steam. Characters came back together, learned new things about their strengths, about the weird, wonderful, sometimes horrifying land of Lyrian, and about each other.

Edomic (the magic language of creation) is fleshed out more in this book. Enough new characters added to make things exciting, but not too confusing.

Recommended for: those who appreciate varied races, value courage in characters, don't mind some gruesomeness, and have read the first Beyonders (otherwise you might end up pretty confused).

I love Brandon Mull's writing, but this book is definitely all set up for the last book. Although the entire series might be 5 stars, this book on its own wasn't my favorite, but I still liked it.

Anyone else think the "seeds" part in the title had any part of the Amar Kabal? Thought about that partway through.

Alright. I take it back. I love this narrator. Most--if not all--of my complaints from the first book are nonexistent in Seeds of Rebellion! Yay! The writing improved a lot too. I feel like it wasn't as awkward or forced. I liked the story better too; It was so much more entertaining and kept me on the edge of my seat all day! Plus there's the fact that it seemed a little more believable (not that anything about this series is believable :p). I'm a little disgusted about some things in the book, like worm-infected zombies.....among other things. But it was great! And more cliff hangers. Thanks a lot, Mull. Thankfully I have the next audiobook available as well. Really the only complaint I have about Seeds of Rebellion is Rachel's character arc. It came out of absolutely nowhere and I don't think it matches her character very well. Oh well. I'm willing to forgive that :p

Overall, I enjoyed Seeds of Rebellion a million times better than A World Without Heroes and I can't wait to read Chasing the Prophesy!

I apologise for my scatter brained review but I've exhausted my reserves of long reviews (Yes, there was only long review).

Simply put, the sequel improves on the original.

Keeps getting better and better

Between the non-quest in book one and the fact that book two is just a set up, I am still a bit annoyed, but the world and race building is still amazing so I will go on to the final book.

I FINISHED IT! In spite of the excessive amount of time it took to read this, I truly enjoyed this book. I anxiously anticipate the next, and last, book.
