My type on paper by chloe seager
rating- 5/5 stars
i read this book before i read take a chance on me by beth garrod and even though i read these two books one after the other i still loved both of them. unlike take a chance on me in this book our main character , Maya , (under short notice) is staying in her country for the summer and working at the local beach resort as a cleaner, then a lifeguard. This book follows the same story line as take a chance on me however i think that the two are different enough to be enjoyed one after the other (unless you get bored of the same tropes over and over.) i really liked the friendship Maya and Aimee had and i liked that they helped each other out . throughout this book i found myself laughing at parts and empathising with our main character, Maya ,this book was a fun, light, entertaining and a great read to take with you to the beach.
i would recommend this book to people aged 12+
if you enjoyed this book you should read:
-bumpy rides , turning tides and my french romeo by liz elwes
-sparks in Scotland by a. destiny
-wish you were Italian by kristin rae

This book follows Maya, or M as her friends call her, and her friends during the summer holidays as they work at the utterly brilliant "Casa Nadar" after Maya's "perfect" boyfriend Freddie breaks up with her. Her best friends Aimee and Joe however are determined to find her her perfect match.

First of all, I did enjoy this book. It was fun, quirky and as I only seemed to notice halfway through the book somehow... Very much love Island!

I won't lie, parts of this book were slightly cringy, and I thought the main characters were quite immature for their age, the way they spoke and how niave they were made me think they were younger than they actually were. The boys Maya meets however were written coming accross as quite a bit older and much more mature so it was all quite conflicting.

Dispite a few minor problems i did enjoy it and for anybody looking for a fun, light read for this summer, this one could be for you!
