When Rock Fueler wants to build a golf course, he begins forcing people out of the upper west side of Mouseton. Too bad Mickey Mouse and his best friend Horace Horsecollar have other ideas...
There's a lot of stuff going on here. Set during the Great Depression, this is a tale of the little guy fighting back against the big guy. There's also coffee being used to enslave the workforce and Mickey and Horace being dominated by their respective girlfriends. It's drawn in a surprisingly detailed style and formatted like a newspaper cartoon. It's a lot of fun and I play on sharing it with my son when he gets a little older.

Disney comics are such a delight and I’ve been dying to get my feet wet in Fantagraphics growing backlog of them. I’ve bought a few of the Carl Barks Donald Duck volumes but I’m a bit of a hoarder so…I don’t know where they are. So I started with Mickey Mouse: Zombie Coffee! The art is gorgeous and man, the dialogue! Each character reads exactly as their voices have sounded for years! I could hear Pete in my head with each line! Bit weird to say a comic about struggling to find work during the Depression was fun right before we head into a recession but hey, good comics can make you say that.
