This book is about a girl named Liesel Meminger and she is the book thief, she has to live everyday life in Munich, Germany. She goes through being adopted to being bombed. This book is one of my favorites because of all of the struggles and victories of the book thief. The only  part I don't really like is the detail on some of the ways she steals the books. I would recommend this book to someone that likes to look into the meanings of the text. Overall this book is great and I would definitely reread this book again.

FYI: This book could make you cry prepare yourself

The Book Thief is a beautiful book about broken dreams, family, love and friendship. This is a book that will make you smile and laugh,  one that will warm your heart. It is also one that will make you feel helpless and upset, even angry at times. An immensely moving book.
Without a doubt one of the greatest most original pieces of this day and age. Highly recommend.

Really happy to have finally read this book. The narrator POV is so fascinating, and I think it really allows the reader to view a familiar subject from a new perspective. The characters were endearing and of course, the subject matter soul-crushing. I didn't rate this higher because I don't feel like I truly fell in love, and I didn't read this compulsively, but I really enjoyed this read and feel like it was definitely worthwhile.
