chung's stories, shifting genres at each turn, flit from the quotidian horror of the mundane to the fairy tale horror of monsters to the familiar horror of men and their greed, all with frank prose and a critical eye towards patriarchy and capitalism and power.

Entiendo y valoro la intención de la autora de acercarse a problemáticas como el capitalismo, el patriarcado o el estrés postraumático a través de una narrativa turbia que explora lo retorcido y lo terrorífico desde una perspectiva cotidiana. Sin embargo, no he conseguido conectar con ninguno de los diez relatos. No sé si por falta de perspicacia por mi parte o por una suerte de brecha cultural (me inclino más por la primera opción).
Quizá con el paso de los días alguno de los relatos siga resonando en mi cabeza y me lleve a reflexiones interesantes que aún no he sido capaz de poner en marcha.
