The world we are introduced is quite magical and dark and I would love to learn more. Wow does Neil have to go through a bit but I like how this is used to grow him as a character and bring him into his own confidence and abilities. While I like Mal he was not exactly my favorite character I felt like it would have been nice to learn a little more about him (like what exactly is up with the wings? I was still a little confused on that part) but he is a bit of a shining night that I can get behind. And Merc I just love Merc and hope he gets to find love in the future he really is my favorite person in this so far :) I am so looking forward to future books in this series. This is ARC review.

These are new-to-me authors but I liked what I read very much. This book hit all my catnip buttons. Urban fantasy, gay romance, unusually well developed world building, well written, gripping. I loved everything about this. It even kept the darkness at shy of horrible and I liked that too. It could have gone so very wrong. I liked that although the MC was an incubus (or part there of) the story wasn’t about sex, which so often happens when sex-demons are involved. There were two explicit scenes, but aside from the that sex scenes weren’t gratuitous and were necessary to the plot, so I wasn’t skipping like I usually do. Well done, will be checking out more from both these authors
