I felt like this book was for serious Foodies, not the casual Bourdain fan. It is a collection of essays written for food magazines and blogs. Not near as spicy as his Kitchen Confidential memoire.

Not my favorite of Bourdain's, but it's damn hard to top "Kitchen Confidential."

Since it's a random collection of essays written at different times, it feels quite disjointed. He has a commentary section in the back where he updates opinions/gives some background on various essays. I think it would have been better to have that at the end of each piece.
The essays are grouped into various tastes such as salty and sweet, but that didn't help the coherence of the book. I'd like to read the 4 books he talks about as his favorite food books. Sadly my library has only one of them.

I always enjoy Anthony Bourdain's writing personality and I can hear his voice when I read. Good book that gives you insight on what it is to be a celebrity chef as well as a certified bad ass.

This was good, although I skipped a few of the essays. He's just a neat guy. Smart and funny and opinionated. I enjoy him so much!
