She’s Still Here was an awesome read!!!! As an avid suspense and true crime book lover, this youth version was just as good as the adult! It had a lot of cliffhangers I think many middle school readers would enjoy! Definitely a page-turner.
Kate is such an inspiring and determined young female character, much braver than I would have been at that age! I think she’s a good role model of grit and tenacity.
Loved the relationship between Kate and her mom. So sweet and reminded me of me and my mom.
I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in the series!!

I didn’t expect to love a retelling - but UH.
Casteels POV is amazing. I LOVED this book.
It really is an entire stand alone in its own right, and not a cop out regurgitating of From Blood and Ash.
So much more depth and love the banter between Cas and Kieren, and all the guys.
And the ending…..
Holy mother of cliffhangers.
JLA, please write like the wind, because between this and Fall of Ruin and Wrath I’m feigning like a junkie.
