I very much wanted to fall in love with this book. I enjoyed the humor that it offered but I really wished that Crowley and Aziraphale were present throughout the entire book. It felt disjointed and everything was leading up to the Apocalypse and then just nothing happened. Life went onto Sunday. So maybe that’s the point, no matter what life goes on. I am eager to watch the TV series and see how it holds up to the book. Maybe I can gain a different perspective from the show that the book didn’t quite hit me with. I think a piece of why I didn’t enjoy it as much was because there aren’t traditional chapters. So it made it hard to find a helpful place to stop reading. I understand why this book is structured the why it is, it just stressed me out.

Can I start by saying that Good Omens should be required reading? Yes I can, this is my review. Can I also start by saying that Terry Pratchett was a genius and Neil Gaiman is a genius. Again, yes, again, because this is my review. I love Good Omens with every fibre of my being. I watched the show a couple of months ago, loved it and started my David Tennant hyperfixation (ongoing). It also, subsequently, started me on my journey to reading every Neil Gaiman book ever written (I’m currently 1.5 books in). Anyway this book is absolutely delectable, everyone drop what your doing and read it immediately xoxo

More Aziraphale & Crowley, less secondary characters who have no use in this book which promises a climax (let down), yet is filled with satirical IYKYK references to 90s British culture. Hopefully the TV series delivers a better overall story.
