That was even more confusing, ugly, and stupid than Elektra: Assassin.
I hate where Frank Miller's words and art are going.

first things first: I am not a fan of either Frank Miller's writing or his art style. that said, I think that the plot of this comic is one of his most interesting and deeply emotional to read, which I really enjoy (not that an author making Matt suffer makes me happy, but I digress).
the art was absolute trash, it really made it hard for me to be able to get through this story in one go. I was so close to just stopping all together lmao, but I decided to continue because I was curious to see how it would end, and honestly? not disappointed! (those last two panels were so gorgeous, I felt like crying ngl) I did have to listen to some Jeff Buckley to get throught it though :)
I find that this isn't really a Must Read when it comes to the DD canon, but it is a nice addition as to how Matt continued to live his life post-Elektra; while also being a (sort of) good closing chapter to the Daredevil Miller era that marked a new beginning for this character. I have my gripes with Miller, but I'm glad that he ushered in a lot of the nice personality traits, Catholic guilt and dark moods Matt is now well-known for... but the dogshit art style and passive racism/misogyny is something I will never get behind! thank god I'm over this era lmaoooo
onto greener pastures now!
