Uneven and a bit muddy. The authors note and the realization that this was written when she was 21 put all my issues into perspective.

hiç beklemediğin bir kitabı çok sevme hissi öyle güzel kii

Not finishing it. Total disappointment. I was expecting a romance, a star-crossed lovers romance that get separated each time they are reincarnated and what I got was a detective/conspiracy/“let’s find the bad guys” book.

What a great read! Thoroughly enjoyed this book. If you are a fan of Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series, this book could be for you. Two lovers whose lives are entwined across 300 years. What happens when you say goodbye, only to re-discover each other in another life. Why does this keep happening? What is it all for? Wonderful debut novel from Lauren James.

I loved the characters, the premise, the plot, almost everything about this book, but I did feel like the ending was kind of rushed and a bit underwhelming. I just had different expectations for what would happen. Will definitely still read the next book though.

I hate giving a book such a low rating. As a reader, I am in awe of authors. And it always feels slightly hypocritical to critique their work, knowing full well that I could never write a book myself. But I just did not like this book, I'm sorry.

The premise was very clever. And the cover is gorgeous. I had high hopes. I just found it a little shallow and the characters annoying and formulaic. I need to reflect a little more on why this book and I did not gel.

Perhaps I am simply not the target audience.

Actual rating 2.5*

I don't read a lot of YA fiction, so some of my opinions of this book could just be simply due to the fact that it's just not my cup of tea. For me, the concept of time travel/reincarnation are interesting and there was a lot of potential for this to be great, but I just don't think it was executed all that well.

I felt that the characters lacked development and the writing itself lacked soul. Perhaps each of the time snippets were too small and rushed to really allow for proper development of the characters, but it made for a less than engaging story.

I think some of the versions of Matt / Kate were confused early on without enough detail and exploration. It all just read a little too simply for such an intricate concept.

Time travel - 4 periods, 2 in past, 2 in future

I absolutely loved this Book!!

It was the perfect balance between romance and adventure/suspense! It was a slow burn, romance focused book but it had valuable plots that elevated everything!

I was able to get extremely invested in this book and never wanted to put it down. For the entirety of the book I felt like I was right next to Matthew and Katherine. The different time periods added such value to the novel and they meshed perfectly. Throughout the chapters I really enjoyed the journal entires, sticky notes, and letters. They added a personal touch to the characters in that specific timeline.

Lastly without spoilers, I was very happy with the ending.
