Spoilers..........So very very good, loved it. Mike and Brie's story was very gripping. After Brie is attacked and raped Mike is there for her in every way, he's her friend first helping her get through a very hard time in her life, then they get together, I loved their time together in this story as a couple. Plus we continue with Jack and Mels life and happy news for Preacher and Paige, I love how Robyn Carr's characters continue onto her next books. So blooming funny when Preacher informed everyone he couldn't go on the hunt with the men 'I'm not going' he said 'its ovulation day'!!! So hilarious, loved that scene.

3.75 The only complaint I have is the focus on babies. I understand she’s a midwife, but I really don’t need a play by play of deliveries. Everyone wants to have a baby. Like life can’t be complete without one?!

I almost equally love and hate this series, so it will likely be a bit before I grab the next one, but since it's as much about the town of Virgin River as the couple's that star in each book, I'll be back eventually.
It's a true small town story, which really cuts both ways for me. The hint of misogyny that filters through the whole world makes me itch, but the way people genuinely care for each other warms my heart.
In this one Mike has decided to retire to Virgin River, just as tragedy strikes his favorite member of the Sheridan family (no, not Jack). Also there's something more than beer and weed going around the high school parties in Virgin River and Mel wants the culprit caught before another girl gets hurt.
