First of all, I have never enjoyed an audio book as much as this one. At least half a star is for that alone. The story was quite the exciting romp through the world of the Gentleman Bastards. I don't know how to say much without spoiling the book for people, but suffice it to say that if you enjoyed [b:The Lies of Locke Lamora|127455|The Lies of Locke Lamora (Gentleman Bastard, #1)|Scott Lynch|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1320532483s/127455.jpg|2116675] you will most likely enjoy [b:Red Seas Under Red Skies|887877|Red Seas Under Red Skies (Gentleman Bastard, #2)|Scott Lynch|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1291336119s/887877.jpg|856785]. Jean & Locke are definitely up to no good and it doesn't always work out for them. Still, to paraphrase one of Jean's more memorable lines, they're the biggest, baddest motherfuckers in the room.

4.25 stars. Most people rate this book more highly than the sequel, but to be honest, I think this is the weakest. As I reread the series, this was the only book I skipped a section to get through. However, the fact that I reread it within a year of the initial read says something. Despite the book's faults, it's still some of the most fun I've had in a long time.

I laughed. Genuinely laughed when
Locke pulled multiple decks of cards out of his clothes after being searched to prove he can Just Do That.
I think this book definitely has it’s flaws but COME ON. You can’t go wrong with pirates.
How dare you with Ezri.
Had a LOT of emotions in this one
