Enjoyed some of the stories, couldn't comprehend some.

September is my birthday month and of course, I literally bought this book to be my birthday read. I really enjoyed this collection, but my favourite stories were these three:
The Birthday Cake — I found it really fascinating that sometimes seemingly vindictive acts, in the end, stem from a purpose, and this might not be what we may ordinarily expect.

I really think that Murakami actually chose most of these stories because they suck, so his story “Birthday Girl” would stand out —it is the only one I completely enjoy at the end, apart from 1 or 2 more.

Like most short story anthologies, some were hit, some were miss, just didn’t have motivation to finish.

A collection of 13 stories selected and introduced by Haruki Murakami (my favorite author). And, guess what? I’m reading this during my birthday week! Perfect!!!!
