the darkverse series is my first introduction to anything dark romance related and i loved it!
Tristan and Morana had the best angst and tension, and their whole backstory was so fascinating to me - I am a massive overthinker and tend to be able to predict what happens with most books lol but this one? Tristan's reason for 'hating' Morana? I was not prepared at all.
I love how they both get under each other's skin, but also love and protect each other in the fiercest way. Their love isn't this loud declaration, it's quiet moments reserved between the two of them, spoken through actions instead of words and my goodness do i love them all the more for it <3
I love Dante and Amara and their friendship with both Tristan and Morana, and the way all their relatinoships contrast and balance each other so well. Morana and Amara's friendship might be my favourite though, I love that Amara gives Morana the information she deserves to have, even if she knows she's not the person who should be giving it to her; she wants Morana to be able to make an informed decision about her own life because she knows what it feels like to not have those choices. I love their relationship so much.
The ending of this book!? Thank fuck I waited until there were four books out to start this series I would not have coped with having to wait lol
