I've had this book on my To Read for years and I'm so glad I waited. I don't think I would have fully appreciated these stories at 19. One of the cover quotes describes these as "quietly remarkable stories" and I think that is the perfect description. From Bremerton, The Boots, and Groundskeeping were my favorites.

this collections of stories is interesting. some of the stories are beautiful, generally tend towards slow pacing, but calm and introspective. however some of the stories seemed a little out of place, didn't really fit the rest of the narrative. a lot of that had to do with how some of the stories seemed to interact, bit some stories didn't seem to have any connection to the greater picture. overall the bok is pretty strong.
