Un libro durísimo, que todo el mundo debería leer y que me ha hecho hasta llorar. Lo más duro, sin duda, son las similitudes que tiene historia con la actual, con la de los refugiados, parece que estamos condenados a repetir una y otra vez la historia.

"El mal gobernará hasta que los hombres y las mujeres de buena voluntad se decidan a actuar". Qué tal si empezamos a actuar ya?

My daughter recommended this fast paced and interesting book about how the Soviets deported Lithuanians (and Latvians and Estonians) from their homelands and brought them to work as prisoners/slaves in the Arctic Circle. It was a good read and an education into a little considered aspect of WWII.

I read this book around two-three years ago, I wasn't going to read it cause it was out of the norm for me I'm a particularly hopeless romantic when it comes to books, but this wasn't my usual bed-time story.

It was a really good book and it made me cry a few times but it's a good book and I'd recommend it!

This was such an amazing book, that I almost have no words, almost. This tale was inspiring, riveting and heart-wrenching all at the same time. The story is so beautiful, and different because it is about the Soviet camps, that aren't usually addressed. I especially love that there was romance, but it didn't overtake the story as some romances can. This book was so beautifully written, I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes things about World War 2.
