This was a nice palette cleanser after a series of consecutive kinda depressing books. The descriptions of the Japanese dishes were mouth watering. However by the 4th story I found the premise a bit repetitive and I wanted a bit more depth from the characters. I still enjoyed it but I don’t think I’ll pick up the rest of the series any time soon.
