I wanted to rate this book higher, but I didn’t like the main characters and thought that
Brandon’s death
was glossed over too much for someone who’s supposed to be important to them. I also didn’t like the ending.

The Friend Zone was good but I didn’t find myself connected to either character. I found them both a bit annoying and I think their love story was a bit predictable. I found myself rolling my eyes and wishing they would just talk everything out. I do think the side characters made the story.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Abby Jimenez is the queen of writing romance characters with depth in such a short amount of pages. And this book is no different. Kristen's medical issues combined with Josh's ability to sense a woman's needs from being raised with 6 older sisters (sound familiar? Like my brother maybe?) made for a good combination. I enjoyed their chemistry, their friendship, and the taboo-ness of their relationship at the beginning because of Kristen's relationship with Tyler. Like most romance books, it was predictable but it did surprise me with some twists and some complete and total heartbreak that had me tearing up. Overall it was a great read. Definitely recommend!

Came from another Abby Jimenez book, thinking this was gonna be another one seater but unfortunately this one did not do it for me.

Kristen’s character was so frustrating. I get that she had her qualms about being in a relationship with Josh but I hated the push and pull she did with him. I think the relationship development would have been a lot sweeter if they had pined silently and then got together in the end, instead of on and off being together.

Even the conflict resolution was kind of obvious to me from the beginning, so I was confused why Kristen didn’t just accept it from the get-go.

Overall, not my fave.

I really enjoyed this book. I was nervous to start this one at first, because it deals with infertility, but I'm so glad that I gave it a chance because I loved it. I love how each book features a pet of some sort (usually a dog). I loved the banter between Kristen and Josh, they are so cute together. I love how Kristen would speak her mind and not worry what other people thought of what she said. I love that in the rare times she needed it Josh would stand up for her and support her. The friendship between Kristen and Sloan is top-notch. To be honest, I read The Happy Ever After Playlist and Part of Your World before this one, so I knew a major plot point that was going to happen, and trust me it didn't make it hurt any less. This book made me laugh, it made me cry, and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Do yourself a favor and pick up an Abby Jimenez book. I recommend starting with this one so you can see everything from the beginning and see how all the stories connect. These book are exactly what I want from a romance novel.

Happy Reading my Friends.
