DISCLAIMER -  I read this text as a set text for university meaning I did not pick this up for myself. It does not necessarily fit my usual reading selection so my review may be rather biased.

I have found my favourite Austen! Despite going into reading knowing the plot (I have watched the most recent film adaptation) I very much enjoyed my time reading this novel.

Characters who made me laugh out loud with their dialogue, development in personality and a lighthearted plot that ends in happiness.

I would highly recommend reading this classic of a novel, it is a fun journey that was very enjoyable.

Emma as a character is just incredibly pretentious and selfish she is so blind and self driven she fails to notice what is right in front of her it is infuriating. Although Jane Austen does this deliberately and attempts to give Emma a second chance as a good person towards the end. Its a feel good funny and witty novel the characters are interesting it jut feels to positive and sunny for my liking.
