When reading this, keep in mind that there are spoilers for the later books, as this is set about 20 years in the future.
It was really interesting to see all these characters, older and having their own families. In terms of language, it felt natural and satisfied my crave for historical (Regency/Victorian era) writing.
It was a nice addition to Daphne and Simons' story.

She nodded. “As long as I have you.”
“No,” he said softly. “As long as I have you."
It was really interesting to see all these characters, older and having their own families. In terms of language, it felt natural and satisfied my crave for historical (Regency/Victorian era) writing.
It was a nice addition to Daphne and Simons' story.
