When I read Zadie and Amir's meeting in Soft Like Thunder, I was instantly intrigued and wanted more. Soft Like Thunder was a 5 star read for me, but Holy Hotness- Bright Like Midnight is hot, steamy and such a pleasure to read. Zadie is shy, quiet and somewhat reserved. Amir is hard and tough with lots of rough edges. The chemistry between them just leaps off the page. I loved that he called her "Little Mama" and how jealous, possessive and protective he was for her. This is a couple that in many ways couldn't be more different and shouldn't work, but it just does and reading about them coming together and overcoming obstacles is such a treat. Parts of it flirted with the dark, and at times Amir could show a cold, mean side to Zadie in trying not to truly show his hand, but that just made him and this book all the more appealing. LOVED everything about this, stayed up late into the night(or should I say early morning) to read this one.

I'm absolutely lost for words... completely floored by the greatness that is this book.

Amir and Zadie were a really unlikely pair but Mrs Wolf made them perfect for each other.

I want to rave and explain how amazing this book is but there is no way I can do it justice.

If there is one book you should take a chance on this year, this is it.

Straight into my Top Reads list. Absolutely stunning.

Amir is the ultimate anti-hero who manages to get the girl. Zadie is his complete opposite in every way. This is a bit dark with some stalking involved. However Wolf's writing keeps getting better with every book she writes. Bully romance is her calling. She manages to give a fresh story with every book she writes.

I really enjoyed watching Zadie and Amir. I didn’t love the pet situation, I thought it was a little silly honestly. (Not how he treated her, just the “you’re my pet, you do what I say” dynamic) I did enjoy the chemistry and watching them evolve. Especially Amir. The whole book I’m yelling “you’re a moron” and he finally* has his awakening and I’m like YESSSSS! I was rooting for them though. Especially when I got the tease that something happened in book one. I knew I needed more!

Omg this is such a brilliant read.
After Amir held Zadie hostage in Soft Like Thunder we didn't hear anything more about them and now we get the whole ordeal and what a night it was.
Months later and Zadie is still thinking about Amir and now she needs his help to try and keep her safe from her stalker.
Amir is so gone on Zadie but he keeps trying to deny it but when she needs him he is always there for her.
As they get closer everything is going so well until his work that he does for his brother starts to affect Zadie. Can they work through it or will it be too much for her.
I absolutely loved the ending.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

I loved Amir and Zadie's connection and relationship.

This was a fun read, though there were some pretty annoying things that took away a star like the following:

* Amir is involved in drugs and crime, yet is going to school full time... I mean come on.

* Zadie's stalker was not completely a stalker, just a privileged nuisance.

* Zadie ends things because of his involvement in crime, yet she knew that going in.

I did love how possessive and dominant Amir was. He was super sexy. Also loved his friends, especially Julian. I am excited to read Elena's book.
