This book is honestly so cute, it made me feel so happy. There were ups and downs, and they were typically well written. The only downside was it could be interpreted as insta~love, but it was written in a nice way so I’m happy .

you were right.
readers of all ages, I present to you: a romance with a decent plot!!! and likable characters!!!!
admittedly, the MC naomi did not get less annoying, but I absolutely fell head over heels in love with every single other character from the small town of knockmeout 😭🫶🏼
from lovable librarian sloane to lil sassy kid waylay to the coolest bartender ever silver to the best grandma ever liza, I was obsessed. I would read spin-off after spin-off of these characters in a heartbeat!
naomi and resident viking soft hearted bad boy knox are totally not perfect for each other, but THEY WORK! and they seriously went through all the tropes from enemies to lovers, fake dating, found family, and third act breakups (which are 🤮🤮 and stupid but okay I guess)
lucy score’s writing is absolutely gorgeous and totally sucks you into the story so effortlessly! I’m about to binge her entire backlist because WOW
overall, I’m pleasantly surprised by this one, and I’m begrudgingly admitting that I was wrong 🫥

This is one of the better enemies-to-lovers tropes I've read, because OMG, Knox is a complete douchenozzle, then he goes and says some endearing crap and immediately I'm all swooning again. But then I remember that dude is 43 YEARS OLD and he's acting like a lead in a YA novel. He was a total tool - a growly, incredibly hot, barber, but a tool nonetheless.
Naomi was such a people-pleaser and I enjoyed her growth throughout the ups & downs in the small-town setting. Knockemout is a great small town with a fantastic score of supporting characters. The bonus 2nd epilogue is worth the download that gives a teasing glance to Nash & Lucian's HEAs which I look forward to reading about.
