Stef is the best friend we all wish we had.

The case had DAISIES on it

mid read update: currently sitting at page 290- predicting way and naomi form an amazing bond, the town is kumbaya, knox and naomi fall in love, suddenly- tina comes back into town acting like she did nothing wrong and wants way back because her ego is insane. Way chooses Tina, Naomi is heartbroken. Tina then spills the beans that she and knox used to hook up, naomi feels betrayed that knox never told her and leaves. Knox gets her back and they buy Liza Js house and live happily ever after.

“ But she was looking beyond them. She was looking at me. And then she was running.
And so was I. I caught her when she jumped into my arms and swung her around… She hugged me tight around the neck and whispered, “This is the best day of my life.”

* page 370 and can I just say how in love with this town I am? Wraith stepping in at the bar?

This book is special. I was so scared to read it because i’ve been avoiding contemporary romance lately- and this book is very widely talked about. I don’t like reading overhyped books because I feel that I can be overcritical.

That said, this is one of my favorite romance books and I am not typically a small town romance type of girl. I think Lucy did a great job of making the characters realistic and engaging. Naomi isn’t necessarily someone I can relate to- but her situation is. I think Knox is an amazing MMC, and their relationship is adorable; but what makes this book one of my new favorites is the relationship between Waylay and Naomi. I grew up with a Tina- and watching Waylay realize she was now safe and loved (and adopted) healed a small part of my inner child. 10/10 recommend.

Amamos a Liza J, Lou, Amanda y a Waylon.

Couldn’t get past the first chapter due to it being written like a 12 year old’s wattpad entry
